The Bangladesh Cricket Board (BCB) has roped in the services of Dean Conway till World Cup 2019. Conway will be the physiotherapist for the national side till the coveted event three years down the timeline. He will now be responsible to ensure the fitness of the Bangladesh players. The move made by the board seems to be a good move and Conway will surely be a value addition.

Dean Conway is no new man in his art of specialization. He has previously worked with the England team. His tenure for the England team lasted for close to a decade and a half. Now, he is on his way to embark a similar task for the Bangladesh team. With Bangladesh becoming a powerful force in the recent times, the addition of new physio will bolster their spirits.

Dean Conway has also served as the physio of the county team Glamorgan for more than 24 years. Conway replaced the former physio of the team Bibhab. He had taken in charge of the Bangladeshi team in early 2011. His tenure had ended in 2013 which was then renewed. However, in the year 2014, he left the job citing some personal issues.

Bayezidul then took over the duties. The appointment of Conway means that the Bangladesh Cricket Board is keen on keeping a foreign physio. Bayezidul is now set to return back to the Bangladesh Cricket Academy and assume his duties there.

Now Dean Conway is set to take over the duties for the national side. He assumed his duties on Wednesday. His first day at work saw him assess the fitness condition of star pacer Mustafizur Rahman. Rahman underwent a surgery on his shoulder in August earlier this year. Conway himself was an athlete and played Rugby in Wales.

He studied physiotherapy at Cardiff University and then joined the Glamorgan side. He was then put in charge of the national team players. Conway spent close to 14 years with the English national side before being elected onto the Glamorgan committee in 2012.
