Bangladesh is no more in the league of minnows (which in itself is a taboo word in cricket now) but, they are not among the mightier either. The way the pools are divided in World Cup these days it is virtually impossible for Bangladesh to qualify beyond the ring robin round. Except if they charge up so much so that to beat any team from among England, Australia, Sri Lanka and New Zealand which form the Pool A along with Afghanistan, Scotland and Bangladesh. The team Mushfiqur Rahim`s has lost all 12 ODI’s which they’ve played in 2014. Just a few days are left for the grand tournament and so let us look into the probable squad of Bangladesh which might be seen playing in the World Cup to be held next year.

Openers:

Expected: Tamim Iqbal, Anamul Haque

Probably the second most experienced player in this squad after Mortaza, is Tamim Iqbal.  But nothing is going right for this man in international cricket. Tamim Iqbal now, is that pure talent which has now faded into darkness. Mainly fitness issues has vanished Tamim’s career. But as per the shortly coming World cup is concerned, his experience surely takes him to the playing XI. On the other hand, is his partner Anamul Haque, the latest find of this team. This 21-year-old boy was recognized mainly in the 2014 Asia Cup where he got a lot of runs. No doubt that he is going to be one of the brightest future stars of this team, but he needs to use his potential talent well and try to be consistent.

Reserves: Imrul Kayes
