Batsmen with most ducks in Test Cricket for India: Indian cricketers have been in the sceme of things when it comes to scoring the most number of runs or the most number of centuries, but this one is a different stat. Ever wondered who got the most number of ducks in Test Cricket ? Not a good record to be proud of if you are a batsman, but something interesting to look at. Crictracker has compiled a list of Indian players who have the most number of ducks in Test Cricket. Since the list is too long we have taken a top 5 list. 1. Zaheer Khan – 29 Ducks Zaheer Khan tops the list here with 29 ducks (Photo Source: Getty Images) The first on this unusual list is a fast bowler, who has done merit to the nation with his bowling artistry – Zaheer Khan. But not too convincing with his batting artistry ! Zaheer Khan has three half centuries to his credit, including a highest score of 75. Apart from that, there is nothing he had to offer as a batsman. Zaheer Khan is a more of you miss I hit batsman who swings his bat at everything. But he could have done better as a batsman. He is known to possess some skills than what his average of 11.95 shows. 2. Chandrasekhar is probably one man you will talk about turning weakness into strength. He was struck with polio in his right arm. He was not known to be a good batsman though averaging at just 4.07. He is 2nd on the list with 23 ducks. 3. Bishen Singh Bedi – 20 Ducks Bishen Singh Bedi slogs the ball. 3rd in the list with 20 ducks (Photo Source: PA Photos) Bishen Singh is 3rd on the list with 20 ducks during his illustrous test career that saw many twists and turns. Not known much as a batsman, he was a tailender who didn’t know much about batting. But however he ranks as one of India’s best spinners who bowled with a big heart and known for his deceiving flighted balls. 4. Ishant Sharma – 20 Ducks Ishant Sharma stands in 4th position with 19 ducks. (Photo Source: BCCI) The tall lanky pacer from Delhi is 4th in the list with 20 ducks in his name. Ishant Sharma is known for his bowling, but he has much better batting talent than what his stats say. He has a very good defence and matches most of the better batsmen in it. So, in the years one would hope he makes corrections to his deviations from the batting fail. 5. Harbhajan Singh – 19 Ducks Harbhajan Singh stands in 5th position with 19 ducks (Photo Source: AFP) Cricket fans do know of the turbanator as an off-spinner who won many matches for India, but the interesting part he has 19 ducks too. He is 5th on this list. It is quite amusing to see how the proud owner of two scintillating centuries and quite a handful of half centuries has been a failure as batman overall. Harbhajan Singh has won matches for India with his willow, but more often than that he has embarassed the nation by playing some non-sense shots.
