2. Pragyan Ojha
Pragyan Ojha is one of the most unfortunate cricketers to play for India. He is known for showcasing the long lost art of bowling the flighted ‘slow left-arm orthodox style’. Ojha was a partner of Harbhajan Singh and Ravichandran Ashwin when India used to play at home in Test cricket. The left-armer played his last match in 2013, which was the last game of Sachin Tendulkar as well.
He played 48 matches for Team India and interestingly won the Player of the Match award in his last game. The 34-year-old spinner retired from international cricket earlier this year, but with age on his side, he is quite ready to play any T20 league. His performance is IPL was also commendable as he took 89 wickets in the cash-rich league.
Australia have a decent army of batsmen and pace bowlers, however, an orthodox spinner is always difficult to find. As the BBL is a long tournament, the pitches will get slow in the latter half. The flighted deliveries from Ojha might come quite handy for the BBL teams. If Ojha puts in his name in the draft, he might attract a reasonable contract.
