BCCI finalizes the venues for the home series against West Indies
India will host the Carribean team in a series of two Test matches, five ODIs and three T20Is.

The Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) has confirmed the venues for India’s next home assignment against the West Indies after hosting Afghanistan for a one-off Test match from June 14 in Bengaluru. The series is scheduled to take place in November with a full-fledged series of both Test and limited-overs matches. India will host the Carribean team in a series of two Test matches, five ODIs and three T20Is.
This would be India’s first major home assignment under the four-year Future Tour program (FTP) for 2019-2023. The series may witness a ‘B’ Indian team competing against Windies given the tour is scheduled after the hectic series down under which is believed to be played between the period of September and October. The schedule for the series against the T20 giants was confirmed by Kushan Sarkar. He tweeted to reveal the venue details for India‘s home assignment against the Windies.

Guwahati, Kochi to host ODIs after a long time
The series will see India playing the two Test matches in Hyderabad and Rajkot. While the BCCI as always aims to move out of the prime centres so as to spread the game and engross more crowd from the less popular cities, the schedule in yet another attempt to do the same.
The five ODIs will be hosted in Mumbai, Guwahati, Kochi, Indore and Pune. This will see ODI cricket returning to the cities with less popularity in terms of cricket such as Guwahati and Kochi. The last phase of the series unveils in the form of three T20Is in Kolkata, Chennai and Pune.
This would be a golden opportunity for the Men in Blue to try the bench strength in the limited-overs leg by trying all the certain combinations keeping an eye on the ICC World Cup 2019 that is scheduled to take place in the early half of next year.
