A tough season ahead for Team India

After their disappointing exit in the 2019 World Cup, India churned out a dominating performance in the West Indies. In the entire tour, the team, captained by Virat Kohli, didn’t lose a single match. The only game that they didn’t win was the first ODI at the Providence Stadium in Guyana, which was washed off due to persistent rain. Apart from that, India was absolutely stupendous.

The Test series was a completely one-sided affair as the visitors didn’t allow the home to team to make a comeback. India’s campaign versus South Africa is expected to be an important one as it marks the start of the national team’s long campaign at home. The fixtures also have two Tests.

Thereafter, India will host Bangladesh for a T20I and Test series in November. Their focus will also be on the 2020 edition of the T20 World Cup, set to be played in Australia. Ravi Shastri was re-appointed as their head coach last month and he has a massive task at hand.
