Ravindra Jadeja has outperformed every other bowler in the Border-Gavaskar Trophy. He has been phenomenal in the last couple of Tests. The season Jadeja’s form with the bat as well as the ball has been a huge positive for Team India. Jadeja has taken 21 wickets in the series so far.

Scoring 64 runs in five innings is far better than Ashwin’s 21 runs. That said, Ashwin is behind his spin-twin in the wickets section as well. Ashwin has 18 victims to his name to Jadeja’s 21. This hike in the latter’s performance has seen him snatch the number one Test bowler’s tag from Ravichandran Ashwin.

The Saurashtra-lad according to Mumbai Mirror might get a pay hike as the Committee of Administrators (COA) is going to propose Ravindra Jadeja for a Grade A contract. The 28-year-old has been a regular in the Indian team in all three formats and has been on a Grade B contract for a while now. The Committee of Administrators and the Board of Control for India in India (BCCI) are going to meet to discuss cricket related issues in Delhi

The meeting is going to be a two-day affair as COA will look into the payments of the players and the support staff. The support staff who recently turned down a 25% hike will be discussed by the BCCI officials and the COA.

Players like Cheteshwar Pujara and Ishant Sharma who are regular Test players and give it their all in this format for the country might get a pay hike as well. This is because both the players mentioned have not been picked up my any of the franchise in the Indian Premier League.

Jadeja is the most likely candidate who will get a Grade A contract as his performances crave for one. Another aspect on which the COA will have their say is the development of the National Cricket Academy. The BCCI and COA will go hand in hand as to take the NCA forward.

The payments of the Women’s National Team will also be considered and talked about at the meeting. The officials on both the sides will discuss the pay hikes of the Women’s team as well and their support staffs also will in talks for the same.
