Babar Azam was one of the dominant performers in the year scoring 1674 runs in 41 games with an incredible average of 87.68 across all three formats. He scored 405 runs in only 6 ODIs he played with an average of 67.50 and scored a hundred against England in their home soil.

In T20Is he was only behind his teammate Rizwan in terms of scoring runs in 2021. He scored 853 runs in the 27 T20Is he played with an average of 37.09. In ICC T20 World Cup he was the highest run scorer with 303 runs in 6 games with an average of 60.60.

He was brilliant in Test cricket also as he scored 416 runs in 13 innings with an average of 34.66. He had an year to remember. These excellent performances by the classy batter makes him number 3 in the team and with a good captaincy record, he is the skipper of the best all format XI of 2021.
