Rohit Sharma started his IPL journey as a young, talented batsman who had immense potential to do well at the biggest stage. He was a part of Deccan Chargers in the first three seasons and joined Mumbai Indians (MI) post that. Though he was quite a vital cog for the Deccan Chargers as well, 2013 came as a game-changing year for the Mumbai lad.

As he was promoted as a captain in 2013 for MI and since then he has not looked behind. MI has won four titles under him and his performance as a player has also improved drastically. Even if we ignore the stats, Rohit’s ability to take the game away from the opposition in no time makes him one of the most lethal batsman.

With Watson at the other end, the MI captain will get enough time to get settled and attack in after that. While opening the batting, he averages 35 with a strike rate of 130. With Rohit and Watson opening together, the opposition captain is going to have a hard time out there.
