Best XI of Bad Boys in cricket

Sledging, match-fixing, an altercation with the fans, even just taking a day off for fishing has cost players money and career.

He has to be in this team. He was destined to be in the player he became, but he chose to have a scandalous image of a person he is infamous for. Drugs, alcohol, sex scandals, fight with teammates and spectators, match-fixing allegations, extramarital affairs, doping charges, banned from complete cricket- name it and Shane Warne was there. And that’s why he is our captain, the leader of the Bad Boys- not the right example to set though.

Arguably the greatest spinner to play in the whites, Warne was involved in controversies throughout his career. His name was associated with bookies in 1994. He was banned for a year and had to miss out from the 2003 World Cup squad for using a ‘slimming pill’ which he claims to be given by his mother.

His personal life too hasn’t been a private one. He was linked with plenty of women outside of marriage. In an IPL game in 2009, he was seen sipping a beer from someone in the crowd. After retirement, he has criticized former skippers Ponting and Waugh. His last major clash was with Marlon Samuels in a Big Bash game where Samuels responded by throwing his bat in the air. As maverick a player Warnie was, he hogged the headlines often- for despicable reasons on and off the field.
