Bewildered Rohit Sharma vents his frustration after being given out

Rohit Sharma is one of the few Indian players who manages to keep his emotions under check on the field. The India opening batsman has always believed in letting his bat do the talking. But the third ODI between India and Australia on Friday saw an unusual moment when the Indian vice-captain seemingly lost his cool after being given out when the team was in a precarious situation.
The incident occurred in the fifth over when Pat Cummins trapped Rohit in front of the wicket. Rohit was looking plumb but the on-field umpire gave his decision against the bowler. However, Cummins was convinced he had his man and he immediately persuaded skipper Aaron Finch to review the decision.
The replays soon showed that Cummins was right as HawkEye showed Three Reds and the on-field umpire had to overturn his decision. Rohit, on the other end, was convinced he had edged the ball and was not even looking at the giant screen as he used the time to take some drink. Perhaps that was the reason he was left dumbstruck when the on-field raised his finger. A livid Rohit then could not stop himself from openly venting his frustration as he headed towards the dressing room full of anger.
Rohit, in fact, was looking dramatic even in the dressing room as he expressed his displeasure over the dismissal. The opening batsman once again failed to deliver, scoring just 14. In the previous two ODIs of the series, he had scored 0 and 37.
Here is the clip showing Rohit venting his frustration:
Kohli’s ton in vain:
India, meanwhile, lost the third ODI against Australia by 32 runs. Skipper Virat Kohli waged a lone battle, scoring 123 but lack of support from the other end meant India were all out for 281 while chasing 314. India still lead the five-match series 2-1. The fourth match of the series will be played on Sunday (March 10).
