The Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) is all set to kick-start the 13th edition of the Indian Premier League (IPL 2020) from September 19 in Dubai, Abu Dhabi and Sharjah, with the final to take place on November 10. Ahead of the world’s biggest T20 league, all the IPL franchises along with their players and support staff reached UAE last week.

As of now, all the cricketers and staff members are serving a mandatory six-day quarantine period and will be undergoing rounds of COVID-19 tests in their respective hotels and resorts. However, that doesn’t restrict them from working out in their hotel rooms. On August 25, Mumbai Indians captain Rohit Sharma took to Instagram to share a workout video featuring himself and his wife Ritika Sajdeh.

In the video, the couple can be seen doing various exercises in a bid to maintain their physical fitness. Mumbai Indians is the only franchise who has allowed the players to travel with their respective families for the cash-rich league. Rohit captioned the video as, “Stronger together”.

Yuzvendra Chahal’s cheeky remark of Rohit Sharma’s video

The video soon got viral on the social media as it garnered about two million views in less than seven hours. Also, the Hitman’s post was flooded with his fans showering their love on the couple. However, the comment which attracted our attention was written by the Indian cricketer and Royal Challengers Bangalore spinner Yuzvendra Chahal.

Chahal, who is quite active on social media and is known for his witty remarks, took a hilarious dig at India’s limited-over vice-captain. Reacting to the training video, Chahal asked Rohit if his wife is going to open the innings this time alongside him in the upcoming T20 league.

The Indian spinner commented, “Bhabhi open karne wale hai kya bhaiya aapke saath ipl mein?,”

Both Rohit and Chahal will be seen in the 2020 edition of the Indian Premier League where Chahal will be leading RCB’s bowling attack under the captaincy of Virat Kohli while Rohit will lead the defending champions Mumbai Indians. Four-time champions Mumbai Indians are the most successful team in IPL history and will be looking to lift their fifth title under Rohit’s captaincy this year.
