Asian Cricket Council’s president Jay Shah was ecstatic to announce the return of the competition and stated the opportunity for two teams to join the Asia cup alongside India, Pakistan, Bangladesh, Sri Lanka, and Thailand. “The development of women’s cricket programs is an integral component that must be pushed forward. With this tournament, in addition to India, Pakistan, Sri Lanka, Bangladesh, and Thailand, two more countries will be awarded the opportunity to make it to the Asia Cup,” Shah said. The ten participating countries are UAE, Malaysia, Oman, Qatar, Nepal, Hong Kong, Kuwait, Bahrain, Singapore, and Bhutan.
