The Chittagong Vikings have extended their merry run in the ongoing edition of the Bangladesh Premier League. The Viking soared to their 6th win of the season when they recently trounced the Rajshahi Kings in match 27 of the season. Chasing 157 to win, the Vikings made it an easy chase with 6 wickets in hand to seal the game.

While the match was a complete show from their side, there was one odd moment which certainly left the team a little unhappy. During the Rajshahi Kings innings, the overseas recruit of the Vikings, Robbie Frylinck, ended up conceding an overthrow. The overthrows are a part and parcel of the game, but when it comes as a result of a totally casual attitude from a player, it certainly does let the team down. It was perhaps this very reason that left the Vikings players unhappy for a brief while in the match.

The action perspired in the fifth over of the game when Robbie Frylinck bowled to Ryan ten Doeschate. The Dutch cricketer defended the ball and it looped back towards the bowler. Frylinck was quick to catch the ball and then decided to throw it at the non-striker end.

Without even looking at the stumps, Frylink rushed an underarm throw, which looked rather very casual. The ball was nowhere in the direction of the stumps, and it kept racing away towards the fence. The mid on fielder had absolutely no chance of backing it up. He gave a spirited chase, but the ball tickled past the fence. By the end of the Kings’ innings, Robbie Frylinck returned with figures of 1/31 in his four overs.

In the match, the Rajshahi Kings posted 157/5 in their stipulated 20 overs. Opener Laurie Evans top scored with 74 off 56 deliveries, and Christiaan Jonker chipped in with crucial 36 off 20 balls towards the end of the innings. In the run chase, the Chittagong Vikings found an able anchor in Mushfiqur Rahim, who scored an unbeaten 64 off 46 deliveries to see his side home. He was well supported by Mosaddek Hossain, who scored 43 off 26 deliveries.
