The Rangpur Riders are not having the best of times in the ongoing edition of the Bangladesh Premier League. They have lost two out of the three matches that they have played in the season thus far. Well, things could get better for them since two stalwarts of the game have joined their squad now. Hard-hitting batsmen Chris Gayle and Brendon McCullum have arrived in Bangladesh.
Both players are all set to take the field for the Rangpur Riders. The Riders will be playing the Comilla Victorians on November 18. In all likelihood, Chris Gayle and Brendon McCullum could be seen opening for the Riders in the match. It will indeed be a treat for the fan to see two of the greatest hitters of the cricket ball open alongside each other.
McCullum has already retired from the game of cricket but continues to ply his trade for the various franchises across the globe in different T20 leagues. Meanwhile, Chris Gayle will want to stamp his authority on the tournament as well. Gayle was in the news recently for having gone unsold in the Pakistan Super League (PSL) auction drafts. Many wondered how can the master of the shortest format go unsold in the auctions of the T20 league.
Certainly, even Gayle himself would be perturbed due to the same. He had a mediocre outing in the IPL this year and the PSL 2017 was not great for him either. He would want to show that he is still the universe boss and create an impact in the competition.
