Harsh Goenka, brother of the Rising Pune Supergiant team owner Sanjiv Goenka, has made it a habit to express his clear disliking for the former RPS skipper MS Dhoni. In a recent tweet, he posted some statistics that showed the batting strike rates of the batsmen from the Supergiant. He noted that the likes of Manoj Tiwary, Ajinkya Rahane and Daniel Christian have the best strike rates in the tournament thus far for their franchise.

It was a subtle indirect dig at MS Dhoni, who has not yet contributed to the team in this season. In the list of 6 batsmen that Harsh Goenka posted, he showed that MSD had the least strike rate among all. Well, his disliking for the former Indian skipper is not new. Earlier after the Rising Pune Supergiant had won their first match of the season against Mumbai Indians, he had expressed his happiness in bitter words for Dhoni.

He had said that the choice of opting Steve Smith as the new skipper for the franchise was the best. It was Steve Smith’s unbeaten 84 that had sealed the match for RPS on that occasion. His direct attack on Dhoni was not well accepted by the fans and Goenka was trolled badly on Twitter. The fans felt infuriated and lashed out hard at him. Now, Goenka seems to be at it again.

This time, his dig has not been as direct as the one he did after the first match. This comparison of strike rates was a rather indirect one but it managed to fetch the wrath of the fans yet again. In his tweet, Harsh Goenka wrote, “#RPS batting statistics until now – Manoj tiwari, Rahane, Christian have the best strike rates.”

Call it his immaturity or his lack of cricket knowledge, Goenka surely does not respect the services MS Dhoni has given to the game of cricket in India. It will only be fitting if he starts respecting all his players alike and not giving biased opinions. Here is how the Twitter reacted to yet another silly tweet by Harsh Goenka:
