Games are coming thick and fast as Chattogram Challengers lock horns with Dhaka Dominators in Match no. 12 of the ongoing ninth edition of the Bangladesh Premier League (BPL) on Saturday, January 14, 2023, at the Zahur Ahmed Chowdhury Stadium in Chattogram. Both sides will face each other again in Match no. 37 on Tuesday, February 07 at the Shere Bangla National Stadium in Mirpur, Dhaka. 

The Challengers have played two matches in the competition so far with one victory and one loss under their belt. They faced defeat in the opening clash against Sylhet Strikers by eight wickets before claiming their first win against Khulna Tigers by a margin of nine wickets. They are placed fifth in the table with two points and a net run rate of -1.433. 

On the other hand, the Dominators have also had a similar start to the campaign to that of the Challengers. They have also played two games with a win and a loss to their name. They clinched a victory in their opener against the Tigers by six wickets before losing out to the Strikers by a big margin of 62 runs. Talking about the Head-to-Head affairs, Chattogram has just a slight advantage over Dhaka as they have won seven times compared to Dhaka’s six out of the 13 matches played in the history of the BPL. Notably, the Challengers have won the last six consecutive encounters against them.
