Chattogram Challengers and Fortune Barishal meet each other in another exciting clash of the ongoing ninth edition of the Bangladesh Premier League (BPL) on Friday, January 13, 2023, at the Zahur Ahmed Chowdhury Stadium in Chattogram. Both teams will lock horns again in Match no. 26 on January 27 at the Sylhet International Cricket Stadium in Sylhet.
The Challengers have played two games this season so far with one victory and one loss under their belt. They lost their opening encounter against Sylhet Strikers by an eight-wicket margin before sealing their first win against Khulna Tigers by nine wickets. They are placed fifth in the table with two points and a net run rate of -1.433.
On the other hand, Barishal has also had quite a similar start to the campaign of that of Challengers. They also suffered defeat in their opener at the hands of the Strikers by six wickets before clinching their first victory against Rangpur Riders by the same margin. They occupy the third position with two points and an NRR of -0.026.
Talking about the Head-to-Head affairs, both have clashed in two matches in the BPL with both of them going in favor of the runners-up of the last season, Fortune Barishal. Notably, both teams are yet to lift the coveted trophy.

Veteran Shakib Al Hasan leads the batting chart with 63 runs to his name in these fixtures. He is followed by Afif Hossain (45) and Shamim Hossain (43). In the bowling department, Mehidy Hasan Miraz, Mrittunjoy Chowdhury, and Shakib have all picked up four wickets each.
