Rashid Khan’s prowess with the leather has left even the best of batsmen bamboozled. He is 19-years old and even at this tender age, the tweaker has already captured the imaginations of cricket fanatics around the globe. He has been phenomenal with as a spinner. He is quick through the air and his wrong’uns have turned out to be a tough nut to crack for the opponents.
Rashid Khan made his debut back in 2016 versus Zimbabwe and hasn’t looked back ever since. He also went on to play his trade in T20 tournaments, including the Indian Premier League and the Big Bash League. Recently, he went through rather a hectic schedule. He played for the Sunrisers Hyderabad in the IPL and picked up 20 wickets in 16 matches and was also the second-highest wicket taker after Andrew Tye. Thereafter he went to Dehradun to take part in the Afghans three-match T20I series versus Bangladesh.
The Young Turk was stupendous in the contests and was the Player of the Series with 8 wickets in 3 matches. He also had the privilege to be selected in the team’s maiden Test match versus India at the M Chinnaswamy Stadium in Bangalore. Albeit, he couldn’t churn out the performance he is used to in One Dayers and T20s, he got a taste of the most demanding format of the sport.
The Nangarhar-born bowler also helped his team qualify for their second 50-over Cricket World Cup to be held next year in England and Wales. For the time being, Rashid is having a gala time in Dubai and enjoying his time out at Dubai in the United Arab Emirates. He posted a picture where the temperature displays 41 degrees at around 11:10 in the morning.
