Chris Gayle and Ahmed Shehzad engage in a funny banter on Twitter
Ahmed Shehzad was trolled by the universal boss this time.
Ahmed Shehzad has always been a talking point on social media and is often trolled even by his teammates and fans all over the world. This time around Windies batsman Chris Gayle took a cheeky dig on the batsman who was just 17 runs away from completing 5000 runs in T20 format. However, Shehzad, as usual, took it sportingly and came up with a fitting reply to the tweet of the Universal Boss.
The ousted cricketer is celebrating his 26th birthday on Thursday and also reached the landmark of 5000 runs in the ongoing National T20 Cup, the domestic tournament of Pakistan. He is part of Lahore Blues side in the competition and opens the innings for them along with Imam Ul Haq. Ahmed Shehzad was dropped from the national side after a string of low scores and is striving hard now to make a comeback.
Chris Gayle predicts the score
Chris Gayle, in his witty tweet for the Pakistani batsman, wished him all the luck to score the 17 runs required to reach the landmark and also predicted that he would score only 15 runs in his next game. He also tried to trolled him by mentioning that he would become the quickest to score 5000 runs in the format. His message for Shehzad read, “Wishing my boi @iamAhmadshahzad the best of luck for those 17 runs to become the quickest to 5K runs tomorrow. I’ll be watching Pakistan’s #NationalT20Cup … I think he’ll get 15.”
Ahmed Shehzad, however, also replied in a funny way and wrote that he will try his best to disappoint Gayle and also termed him as ‘Big Man’. But he didn’t forget to blame the curators in Pakistan who prepare pitches and challenged the Caribbean cricketer to play on such wickets. His reply read, “BIG MAN! Thanx 4 the wish..I’ll try my level best 2 disappoint u. U should be playing on these fantastic pitches..Kudos 2 the curators #NationalT20Cup.”
The birthday boy though scored 27 off 22 deliveries in the game against Rawalpindi earlier in the day and the prediction of Gayle didn’t turn out to be true. Also, in the process, he completed 5000 runs in the T20 cricket but he is definitely not the quickest.
