Chris Gayle has always been a bit of an enigma. The 36-year old Jamaican is renowned by all his fans for the way he wields his bat and decimates opposition attacks with ease. However, his antics, his dancing moves, and his affinity to celebrate in a big way has ensured that he is the most loved cricketer at the moment.

Gayle boarded the early flight back to be with his partner Natasha Berridge as she went into labor. His RCB teammate confirmed the same. On Wednesday morning, reports flocked in stating that Gayle’s partner had indeed given birth to a baby girl. Gayle took to Instagram to announce the good news to the world. However, the news seemed as though it was inadvertently poking fun at the Mel McLaughlin interview.

Gayle wrote that the name given to the girl was ‘Blush’, a word he used against McLaughlin in the awkward interview in the Big Bash League.

“We would like to welcome the arrival of our beautiful daughter ‘Blush’ to this world 2 hours ago, Thank God. #GoodHealth &Strength – The greatest gift and feelings anyone would want. Great experience witnesses every bit of it.  Have to give my blessings to Tasha, strong woman.”

The Australian media lashed out at Gayle, stating that it was his intention to troll the Aussie presenter. “Don’t blush, baby” to a lady Channel 10 reporter Mel McLaughlin. That infamous line saw Gayle fined 10,000 Dollars and slammed from all quarters for his unprofessional conduct.

“We’ve already got North West (thanks, Kim, and Kanye) and Blue Ivy (Beyonce and Jay-Z), so the world doesn’t need another couple trolling it by calling their kid something that will make everyone question the existence of all that is good and sacred on this Earth,” wrote the news.com.au.

Gayle, however, lashed out soon after, writing on his twitter account: “The real ppl who stand by Gayle worldwide through the so call BS against me in the media, Thank You! To the MEDIA, Thank You all so! The Haters, I Thank you even more,” he posted on Instagram at the end of the last BBL.
