Chris Gayle’s doppelganger celebrates Pakistan’s T20I win over England in Nottingham
Gayle, recently, played in the five-match T20I series against Australia.
Chris Gayle, the veteran West Indies batter, recently, played the five-match T20I series against Australia. In one of the matches, he also scored a sparkling half-century, showing that he hasn’t quite run out of gas by any means. Age is yet to catch up with the hulk-like Jamaican cricketer.
In the meantime, a person with similar looks as that of Gayle was spotted in Nottingham. Gayle’s doppelganger was seen outside the Trent Bridge in Nottingham after Pakistan beat England by 31 runs on Saturday, July 17.
The match turned out to be a high-scoring affair as both teams racked up in excess of 200 runs. For the Three Lions, Liam Livingstone scored a century, but his knock went in vain. The visitors were also able to make amends after the 0-3 loss in the ODIs.
As far as Gayle is concerned, his doppelganger was seen wearing the Pakistan national jersey. The other Pakistan fans celebrated behind him.

In the match, Babar Azam and Mohammad Rizwan’s partnership of 150 runs set the tone for the visiting team. The skipper went on to notch 85 runs off 49 balls with eight fours and three sixes. His knock helped Pakistan amass 232 for the loss of six wickets on the board in 20 overs.
Thereafter, Shaheen Shah Afridi and Shadab Khan picked three wickets each to make sure that Pakistan restricted the Brits. After the win, Babar was over the moon. He told about the importance of staying positive and enjoying the game. He also lauded Shaheen and Mohammad Hasnain.
“I spoke about not repeating the mistakes. I and Rizwan got off to a good start and every batsman played his role well. You need to change your mindset a bit (to switch to the shortest format). In T20s, you need to take quick decisions, you have to remain positive and enjoy your game,” Babar was quoted as saying after the match.
“We gave our 100% in all departments. We took good catches, Shaheen and Hasnain bowled well. Credit to Hasnain for bowling the pressure 18th over. We’ll look to build on the momentum,” Babar added.
