One of the biggest cricket dates on the calendar is here. India and Pakistan are all set to face off against each other in the first international match since 2019 while it will also be the first T20I match between the two teams in more than five years. As the whole country awaited the big clash, Bollywood actor Ranveer Singh was boosting the morale of the Indian captain Virat Kohli.

Ranveer has been an avid follower of the game and has always shown interest in cricket. In fact, in 2019, he had traveled all the way to Manchester to watch the India-Pakistan game at the 50 overs World Cup. As a matter of fact, he is also playing the role of Kapil Dev in his upcoming movie, 83, which is based on India’s World Cup triumph of 1983.

It’s OURS this time, Ranveer Singh commented

The latest highlight shown by Ranveer Singh happened when Kohli posted a picture wearing the new jersey for the T20 World Cup 2021. Kohli was seen sporting the new look jersey in which he was pointing his finger towards the logo. He just added the flag of India as a caption. Upon uploading this picture, Ranveer posted a comment.

He wrote, “Come on, boy! It’s OURS this time! let’s gooooooooo.” Much like Ranveer Singh, the whole country is waiting for the moment when the two teams will face off against each other. India and Pakistan have met each other in the T20 World Cup five times (twice in the 2007 editions, once in 2012, 2014, and 2016 editions). India has won all five clashes.

In fact, India’s record in the World Cup doesn’t end there. They have also won all the seven matches which have been played between these two teams at the 50 overs World Cup. As far as the current Indian captain is concerned, his record against Pakistan at the World Cups is also great. In the last three T20 World Cup games, Kohli has returned with scores of 78*, 36*, and 55*.

In fact, Kohli’s highest ODI score is against Pakistan in an Asia Cup game while he also scored a century against them in the 2015 World Cup and followed it up with a magnificent fifty against them in the 2019 World Cup game.
