The 41-year-old leggie from South Africa is one of the oldest yet most dynamic of all the active cricketers. Retired from ODI cricket, he is still going strong and making great strides in regional T20 tournaments. One of the most clever and quick wrist-spinners, he has done tremendously well at both international and franchise-based cricket.

The veteran player features for the Chennai Super Kings (CSK) in the IPL and has been a vital cog in their squad for the last couple of years. In fact, he won the purple cap last year, narrowly beating out his countryman Kagiso Rabada in the process. In 55 IPL matches, Tahir has scalped 79 wickets at an average of 20.39 and a economy of 7.88.

The mere presence of the spinner and the energy he exudes acts as a booster for the entire team. In CPL, he will be plying his trade for the Guyana Amazon Warriors along with Ross Taylor, Shimron Hetmyer and Nicholas Pooran. He will be acting as a mentor to younger players like Chris Green, Kevin Sinclair and Chandrapaul Hemraj.
