5. Kane Williamson
Kane Williamson has been one of the best modern-day batters across formats, but his lack of game time due to injuries has become a concern in the recent times. The right-hander looked out of form in the recent ODIs against Australia, however, is likely to lead New Zealand in the T20 World Cup.
Williamson, 32, now has a long way to go in terms of retirement, however for him to regain his old form back will be very important. With Ross Taylor retired, the new generation of New Zealand cricket needs to step up and take more responsibility.
Williamson might not be able to play all three formats and captain the side, which will be an excessive workload on him and hence, he might step down from T20I captaincy after the T20 World Cup 2022 to focus on his form.
