The mighty Indian Premier League (IPL) Auction is back again, and like every other season, fans can expect it to be a cracker. The league has not only made careers of many cricketers but it also increases their bank balance in a hefty manner.

IPL is now the second-most valuable sports league in the world, after the American National Football League (NFL). The mega T20 League has surpassed the English Premier League (EPL), Major League Basketball (MLB), and National Basketball Association League (NBA) in the list of most valuable sports leagues globally.

The expected total revenue of IPL in the upcoming cycle may reach up to $7.6 billion. The league is getting bigger day by day and the standard of cricket is also increasing. As salaries play a very crucial role in a professional’s life, some cricketers miss the trick and set their base price a bit higher which results in them being unsold at the auction. 1. Chris Jordan (2 Crore)

The death-bowling specialist of the English team has fixed his base price at two crores in the auction. Jordan is known for his accurate line in the death overs. He has been one of the match-winners for England in T20Is in the last few years. He has a lot of experience playing T20 cricket as he plays in several T20 leagues around the world.

The pacer made his IPL debut in 2016 for the Royal Challengers Bangalore. He has played 28 IPL games till now claiming 27 wickets at an average of 30.85. Jordan is the leading wicket-taker for England in the history of T20Is. He has 95 wickets in 84 games at an average of 27.05. The English cricketer is a terrific fielder too.

The Barbados-born fast bowler can most likely be seen in the list of unsold players after the auction as most of the teams already have their squads ready and they will not prefer to go for an overseas pacer for two crores. He might not get picked by any of the IPL franchises. It will be interesting to see if any of the franchises show interest in buying Chris Jordan.
