5. Shimron Hetmyer
Shimron Hetmyer enjoys the reputation of being a hard-hitter in T20Is. For the West Indies, he has won a few games with his powerful batting and in the IPL too, he landed as a batter who could finish games relying on his power-hitting capability. From 2019-2021, he delivered some fine knocks to Royal Challengers Bangalore (2019) and Delhi Capitals (2020 & 2021) as a batter.
At the 2022 mega auction, Rajasthan Royals (RR) invested a whopping 8.50 crores to secure his services. From him, the franchise hoped for him to put some excellent shows as a finisher and the Caribbean batter didn’t disappoint with some fierce innings. Notching up 314 runs in 15 matches in the 2022 edition, at an impressive strike rate of 153.92, he served the team better.
Next season, the team will expect him to don the role of a finisher again and deliver some swashbuckling innings to the team. While the 25-year-old will also strive to show his best and quench the franchise’s thirst for winning the trophy after 15 years.
