Delhi will be coming into the game off a brilliant victory in their last game against Royal Challengers Bangalore. David Warner would hope that the side would maintain their winning ways in a tough battle against Chennai as well.

Here's Delhi Capitals’ predicted XI against Chennai Super Kings:

Skipper David Warner got off to a good start to the IPL 2023; however, his recent performances have seen a dip in his form. Having scored 330 runs in 10 games so far, Warner has been one of the highest run-getters for Delhi. However, the ace Australian batter has only managed to score 24 runs in his last three games combined, including a duck. He would be keen on improving upon his performance in the forthcoming match.

Phil Salt was phenomenal in the last game as he registered a brilliant half-century against the Royal Challengers Bangalore. The 26-year-old scored 87 runs in 45 deliveries to propel Delhi to a win in that game and he would hope that he could put in a similar performance against Chennai as well.

Middle Order: Manish Pandey, Aman Hakim Khan, Rilee Rossouw

Manish Pandey did not get the chance to bat in the last game, but the Indian batter has been putting in decent performances in the tournament. However, his recent performances could be a cause for concern for the side. With two runs in his last two innings, Pandey would look to improve and would be keen to make a statement.

Aman Hakim Khan did not bat in the last game, however, he scored a brilliant half century in the side’s win against Gujarat Titans recently. Having scored 85 runs in seven IPL games so far, his performance could provide some much-needed support to Delhi down the order.

Rilee Rossouw played a good knock against RCB as he amassed 35* runs in 22 deliveries and stood at the crease to make sure that his team finished the game and came out victorious. The 33-year-old has scored 87 runs in five games this season.

All-rounders: Mitchell Marsh, Axar Patel

After missing the game against Gujarat, Mitchell Marsh had a decent game against RCB, the Australian all-rounder got off to a rocky start to the tournament. However, he has been in scintillating form for Delhi recently. In the last game, Marsh scored 26 runs in 17 balls and took two wicket for 21 runs in the three overs he bowled.

Axar Patel has been one of the best performers for Delhi Capitals in the IPL 2023. Having played 10 games, Axar has amassed 246 runs and taken seven wickets. His spells have been crucial for Delhi, and he has even been one of the highest run-getters for his side in the competition.

Bowlers: Khaleel Ahmed, Kuldeep Yadav, Ishant Sharma, Mukesh Kumar

Khaleel Ahmed bowled four overs and conceded a whopping 45 runs for one wicket against RCB. He would look to improve against Chennai. Meanwhile, Kuldeep Yadav had a game to forget in his previous outing as he bowled four overs and conceded 37 runs for no wickets.

The same was the case for veteran Indian pacer Ishant, who also failed to take any wickets and conceded 29 runs in three overs. Mukesh Kumar put in a par display with the ball in the last game as the Indian pacer conceded 30 runs and only managed to take one wicket in three overs. He would be keen on improving upon his spell in the forthcoming clash against Chennai.
