2.  Shivam Mavi

At the mini-auction, Gujarat Titans (GT) signed Shivam Mavi for INR 6 crore to reinforce their bowling line-up. In the previous year, the youngster failed to show up as he picked up five scalps in six games at a horrendous economy of 10.32. Witnessing his below-par bowling performance, Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR) parted ways with him in November 2022.

In October-November last year, the pacer participated in the Syed Mushtaq Ali Trophy 2022-23 and looked impressive bagging 10 wickets in seven matches at an economy of 6.64. The 24-year-old showcased his bowling skills in the Vijay Hazare Trophy as well. With 14 wickets in seven matches at an economy of 4.15, he became the highest wicket-taker for Uttar Pradesh.

Noticing his form, Chennai Super Kings (CSK), Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR), Gujarat Titans (GT), and Rajasthan Royals (RR) targeted him at the auction. However, DC should’ve picked the talented speedster over Mukesh Kumar due to his current form. So far, the Uttar Pardesh bowler has appeared in four IPL editions which makes him more bankable than the Bengal bowler. This year, he made his international debut in the T20I series against Sri Lanka. In his maiden series, Mavi claimed four wickets in three matches at an economy of 9.00.
