However, the left-arm pacer proved all his haters wrong after he well and truly came of age at the T20 World Cup 2024, where Arshdeep Singh emerged as the joint-leading wicket-taker with 17 wickets in just eight matches at just 7.16 runs per over. He carried forward the good work into the T20I leg of the Sri Lanka tour as well and nailed his lengths and variations particularly well against the islanders, for which he reaped rewards. He received his first call-up for the national side as a replacement for Sanju Samson against Sri Lanka at the beginning of 2023. He showcased his power-hitting skills for Punjab scoring 309 runs in 14 games in the IPL 2023 season and also for the national side as well.
