9. Mitchell Starc

Mitchell Starc, in this World Cup, was unsuccessful in delivering admirable performances for Australia. The bowler is known for being detrimental to batters with his sheer pace, but this time, he didn't perform according to his reputation with just three wickets in three matches with an economy rate of 8.50.

In the competition, he was one of the biggest weapons for Australia due to his reputation of being one of the most feared pacers in the world, but in all the games of the tournament, batters destroyed his spells by plundering runs.

Playing against Ireland, he bowled a double-wicket maiden in his opening over to help Australia to have complete control over the game, but in his last three overs, he conceded 43 runs and destroyed the hopes of Australia to gain a net run-rate boost to qualify for the semi-finals.
