Undefeated in the T20 World Cup 2022 so far, South Africa will face the challenge of Pakistan in their next group-stage encounter, which is set to be played at the Sydney Cricket Ground (SCG) on November 3 (Thursday).

The Proteas were clinical against India as they restricted India to an under-par score and chased down the target rather easily in the end despite losing some early wickets in the chase.

The likes of David Miller, Aiden Markram, and Quinton de Kock have been in decent touch in the competition. In the bowling department, senior pacers like Wayne Parnell and Kagiso Rabada have been troubling the batters with their disciplined lines and lengths. South Africa might be tempted to play the same playing XI against Pakistan which was used in their previous clash against India.

Openers: Quinton de Kock (wk), Temba Bavuma (C)

Both Quinton de Kock and Temba Bavuma failed to get going against India in their last match. While De Kock managed to score just one run, Bavuma managed to reach double-figures but he got out after getting a peach from Mohammed Shami.

Bavuma has not been able to get going in the tournament and the skipper might be feeling the pressure to get some runs under his belly. On the other hand, De Kock has played some decent knocks in the competition including a fifty against Bangladesh. The left-handed batter will want to play a match-winning knock against the Pakistan.

Middle-order: Rilee Rossouw, David Miller, Tristan Stubbs

Batter Rilee Rossouw has already stroked a magnificent hundred in the competition, but he bagged a two-ball duck against India. The left-handed batter was trapped in front of the wicket by Arshdeep Singh. Rossouw will be keen to play an impactful knock in the upcoming game.

Tristan Stubbs managed to score just six runs in his previous outing, but the talented batter can be quite deadly with the bat, especially in the death overs. He is expected to retain his place for the upcoming game.

Senior batter David Miller played a match-winning knock for his team against the Men in Blue. The left-handed batter played an unbeaten knock of 59 runs in just 46 deliveries and smashed four fours and three maximums to seal the game for his team. Miller will be backing himself to repeat the same antics against the Men in Green.

All-rounder: Aiden Markram

Just like Miller, Aiden Markram also played a crucial role for his team with the bat. The right-handed batter stroked 52 runs in just 41 balls, which included six boundaries and one maximum. With the ball, he bowled one over and spent only five runs.

Bowlers: Kagiso Rabada, Wayne Parnell, Lungi Ngidi, Anrich Nortje, Keshav Maharaj

The duo of Wayne Parnell and Lungi Ngidi completely bamboozled the Indian batting line-up as they shared seven wickets between them and spent only 44 runs in eight overs, which put the brakes on the Indian batting line-up.

The other two pacers, Kagiso Rabada and Anrich Nortje, were also decent with the ball as they gave nothing to the Indian batters to work with. The left-arm spinner Keshav Maharaj was on a little expensive side as he spent 28 runs in three overs without taking any wickets. However, he can come in handy against Pakistan and try to stop the flow of runs in the middle overs.

South Africa's probable playing XI: Quinton de Kock (wk), Temba Bavuma (C), Rilee Rossouw, Aiden Markram, David Miller, Tristan Stubbs, Kagiso Rabada, Wayne Parnell, Lungi Ngidi, Anrich Nortje, Keshav Maharaj
