T20 World Cup 2022: One bowler from each side who can bowl Super Over during the tournament
The T20 World Cup will be held for the first time in Australia, starting on October 16.
Australia: Mitchell Starc
Australia have a few bowlers to choose from but they might go with their star left-arm quick, Mitchell Starc. He has got searing pace, and has one of the deadliest yorkers in the world. And he would just look spear the balls into the block hole region during a super over.
Starc can also bowl those well-directed bouncers and catch the batter off-guard. Although he is not at his sparkling best at the moment, and also with the likes of others such as Josh Hazlewood also available, Australia might still back Starc to deliver for them in a super over because of the fear factor that he instils with his sheer pace and wicket-taking abilities.
Starc has taken 63 wickets in 51 T20Is with an economy rate of 7.55 and best figures off three for 11. He is competitive, and fierce and has a reputation for stepping up and making himself counted during major ICC tournaments for the Kangaroos.
