T20 World Cup 2022: One bowler from each side who can bowl Super Over during the tournament
The T20 World Cup will be held for the first time in Australia, starting on October 16.
Bangladesh: Mustafizur Rahman
Mustafizur Rahman has been Bangladesh’s go-to death bowler for over five years now. He is known to bowl dot balls with will and not give away any freebies to the batters. His main strength is to seam the ball away from the right-handed batters from the leg-middle stump line, forcing the batter to miss the ball or produce an edge.
Mustafizur can also nip the ball into the left-handed batters and cramp them for room. He can also create a similar angle and movement with a deceptive off-cutter, keeping the batter guessing for pace and bounce. He is also capable of nailing those toe-crushers to contain the batters.
This special skillset that Mustafizur possesses got him instant success early on in his career. Since his T20I debut in April 2015, he has played 72 matches and taken 94 wickets with an economy rate of 7.73 and best figures of five for 22.
