T20 World Cup 2022: One bowler from each side who can bowl Super Over during the tournament
The T20 World Cup will be held for the first time in Australia, starting on October 16.
India: Arshdeep Singh
As injured Jasprit Bumrah is all but out of the mega tournament, the other bowlers will have a job in hand. While experienced names like Bhuvneshwar Kumar and Harshal Patel are known for their brilliance in slog overs, the duo have been underperforming lately in this department. Hence, skipper Rohit Sharma would go to Arshdeep Singh to bowl the Super Over if required.
The left-arm pacer has made a brilliant start to his international career and his heroics in crunch overs have impressed one and all. Arshdeep can nail yorkers in the final overs and his slower deliveries are pretty deceptive as well. Although the 23-year-old doesn't have a lot of pace, his accuracy and variations make him a force to reckon with.
In Bumrah's absence, Arshdeep will have added responsibilities on his shoulders and the youngster would be raring to make a mark. As Australian tracks are known to favour pacers, expectations are high from the youngster.
