10 Indian players who broke into international circuit through IPL performances
IPL has been a platform for young, talented cricketers to showcase their skills and make a case to break into the international circuit.
6. Arshdeep Singh
Arshdeep Singh set the 14th edition of the Indian Premier League on fire with his astounding performances. He troubled batters with his swing and was Punjab Kings’ tone-setter with the new ball. Also, the left-arm pacer was impeccable at the death and bowled pin-point yorkers at will.
Arshdeep featured in 12 games and racked up 18 wickets at an economy of 8.27. He was marvellous in the 2022 season too and stemmed the flow of runs in the slog overs. The youngster ended the tournament with 10 scalps to his name in 14 games at an economy of 7.70, which is brilliant considering he bowled a lot at the death.
Arshdeep broke into the India team riding on his stellar bowling displays. The Guna-born has been magnificent in the international circuit and has been a match-winner with the ball for the Men in Blue. He has featured in 26 T20Is and bagged 41 wickets at an economy of 8.39.
