Prabhsimran Singh displayed confidence with the bat for Punjab in the 2022-23 domestic edition. The 22-year-old will return to continue his form for Punjab Kings (PBKS) in the 2023 edition of the IPL. In the 2022 edition, he featured only in one game for the franchise, but this time, the PBKS management might trust him to reinforce the team’s batting in the top order.

Singh played some brilliant knocks for Punjab in the last installment of the 2022-23 Syed Mushtaq Ali Trophy. The wicketkeeper-batter scored 320 runs with four fifties in ten matches at a strike rate of 141.59. With these numbers, he also became the most successful batter for Punjab in the T20 competition.

He notched up half-centuries against quality sides like Goa, Haryana, and Uttar Pradesh and contributed to his team’s triumphs. In the recently passed Ranji trophy, he proved his mettle again. Racking up 537 runs in 10 innings, he became the leading run-getter for his team in the red-ball format too. With the return of the home-and-away format in the league, the right-handed batter will also take advantage of home conditions as he has played many games at Mohali in his cricketing career.
