5 Major records that India hold in ODIs
In India’s glorious cricketing history, several top-drawer players have donned the bleed blue jersey and established their supremacy in the ODI circuit.
4. Most wins against an opponent
India clashed against Sri Lanka in the three-match ODI on their home turf. The Men in Blue played phenomenal cricket and won each and every game of the series. Kohli led the way with the bat, notching up 283 runs in three matches whereas Mohammed Siraj was India’s wrecker-in-chief with the ball, picking up nine scalps in three games.
Courtesy of the whitewash, India took their overall tally of wins against the Lankan Lions to 96. With their sheer dominance over Sri Lanka, the Men in Blue have recorded the most victories by a team against an opponent in One Day Internationals (ODIs).
India surpassed Australia's tally of 95 wins against New Zealand. Given the kind of cricket India have been playing of late, their record total against the Lankan Lions is expected to surge even higher in the years to come.
