There are some gun young Indian players who have made splashes in the T20 format and are likely to break into India's T20I squad after the T20 World Cup 2022.
4. Shubman Gill
Surely one of the top contenders to represent India in the 20-over format, Shubman Gill has done everything right in his white-ball career so far. The right-handed batter has also been a consistent performer in the India Premier League (IPL).
Even though Gill has not made his debut in the T20I format, the right-handed batter has smashed 499 runs in just nine innings in the 50-over format. Talking about his numbers in IPL, Gill has played 74 matches and has scored 1900 runs at an average of 32.20.
Generally, Gill takes a bit of time to settle on the crease, but he is a master at piercing gaps and hitting boundaries. The 23-year-old also runs well between the wickets and he is also a good fielder.
