5 records held by Bangladesh cricketers that are nearly impossible to break
Here are some astonishing feats achieved by the Bangladesh cricketers, which don’t seem to be broken easily by any player.
4. Hat-trick and century in the same Test
Sohag Gazi made his Test debut in November 2012 against West Indies, and finished with figures of 9/219. He continued to make inroads for the team in their subsequent series against Zimbabwe and Sri Lanka as well.
In October 2013 at Chattogram against New Zealand, Gazi returned with two wickets in the first innings, as New Zealand scored 469. In reply, Bangladesh scored 501, with contributions from Mominul Haque (181) and Gazi (101*).
In the second innings, New Zealand were riding well at 260/4. At this moment, Gazi took the wickets of Corey Anderson, BJ Watling and Doug Bracewell in three successive balls, and the Kiwi team then declared on 287/7. The match ended as a draw after Bangladesh displayed fine resistance on the last day. However, Gazi got his name printed his name into the history books to take a hat-trick and score a century in the same Test.
