5 records held by Bangladesh cricketers that are nearly impossible to break
Here are some astonishing feats achieved by the Bangladesh cricketers, which don’t seem to be broken easily by any player.
3. Only debutant in this century to score a Test hundred at No. 10
It is quite tough for any player to be proficient against the opposition in their debut international match. Furthermore, it becomes harder for a tail-ender, whose major forte is bowling.
Abul Hasan is one such player who had a dream Test debut, against West Indies in November 2012, wherein he slammed 113 off 123 balls, laced with 13 fours and three sixes. His knock helped Bangladesh to post 387 on the board. Before him, Reggie Duff scored 104 while batting at no.10 for Australia in 1902.
In response, Marlon Samuels led the charge for the Caribbean team with 260 and declared on 648/9. Bangladesh were dismissed for 287 before West Indies secured a 10-wicket victory. The right-arm pacer Hasan featured in only three Tests and secured as many wickets.
