Asia Cup 2022: 3 Tactical changes India need to make ahead of the next game against Sri Lanka
India will lock horns with Sri Lanka on Tuesday (September 6).
3. Ravichandran Ashwin in for either Yuzvendra Chahal or Ravi Bishnoi
Team India played the spin duo Yuzvendra Chahal and Ravi Bishnoi in the game against Pakistan. However, against Dasun Shanka & Co, this spin combination might not prove to be useful.
The spin-twins are both leg-spinners and playing against Sri Lanka whose middle order has many left-handed batters would be a poor match-up. This is where Ravichandran Ashwin comes into the picture.
The veteran off-spinner has been quite lethal against the left-handers and slotting him in for either Chahal or Bishnoi would be a better option. Also, Ashwin is more than handy with the bat and adds to the depth of the Indian batting lineup.
