India's wicketkeeper-batter Ishan Kishan can have a breakthrough Asia Cup for the Indian team. The southpaw who plays for the Mumbai Indians in the coveted Indian Premier League (IPL), was the rescue-in-chief in his team's recent clash with Pakistan. He's a regular opener in limited-overs cricket, but due to the presence of Rohit Sharma and Shubman Gill, had to play down the order.
Against Pakistan, he took his time and built the innings quite well. It never looked him out of position. Along with Hardik, he decorated a solid partnership. He has technical flaws in his keeping but will get better with each passing day. Even in the WI series, he was awarded Player of the series.
