2. Deepak Chahar to bat at no. 8 instead of Shardul Thakur

Shardul Thakur has been coming down the batting order at the no. eight spot for the national side as it was seen in the recently concluded New Zealand series. He batted at the same position during the first ODI against Bangladesh but it didn't bear fruit.

However, this has been an ongoing scenario for Shardul, who has the potential to contribute with the bat but has failed in recent times. That said, the side could use the services of Deepak Chahar at the no. eight spot in the forthcoming match to figure out a manner in which the spot could be utilised effectively.

This could be a missing trick that the side could explore and experiment keeping in mind that there are two ODI matches still to go in the series before entering the Test series.
