BAN vs IND: Indian players who were a part of last Bangladesh tour
As India bid to conquer Bangladesh in the upcoming tour starting December 4, they have a few similar arrows in their quiver that were also used in the previous battle back in 2015.
5. Cheteshwar Pujara
In Tests, Cheteshwar Pujara has been a rock of the Indian batting line-up for over a decade. He is someone who takes pleasure in grinding down bowling attacks and then feasting on them. The veteran batter has featured in 96 matches and amassed 6792 runs at an average of 43.81.
The 34-year-old was part of India’s squad for the Bangladesh Test in 2015. However, Pujara could not get a game as Rohit pipped him for the number three slot. The ace batter would be raring to go when the Men in Blue lock horns with the Bangla Tigers in the upcoming two-match Test series.
The Rajkot-born has been in a pristine touch of late. In the County Championship Division Two 2022, Pujara featured in eight games for Sussex and piled on 1094 runs at a stunning average of 109.40. It would not be a surprise if he scores big in the clash against Bangladesh.
