2. Rohit Sharma- 6 titles

Rohit Sharma is yet to achieve success in international cricket as India captain but in IPL, he is the most successful captain, along with CSK’s skipper MS Dhoni. In 2020, MI won their record fifth title under Rohit, and with this marvellous achievement, he became the first IPL captain to clinch five trophies.

In 2013, when Rohit took over the reins, MI’s campaign in the sixth IPL edition was in jeopardy. With three wins and three losses, the sword was hanging over their heads. However, Rohit became the captain and changed the fate of the team, and won the trophy with his sensational batting and leadership. This was Mumbai’s maiden title win in the T20 tournament.

After the 2013 victory, Rohit led MI to title victories in 2015, 2017, 2019, and 2020 as well. Out of their five IPL final appearances from 2013 to 2020, they encountered CSK thrice and won all of them under Rohit. Along with IPL titles, Rohit also made MI champions in the Champions League T20 in 2013.
