Captains with Most Trophies in Cricket
Check out the list of captains who have won the most trophies in cricket.
In competitive cricket such as the international circuit and leagues, teams require captains who could provide success to them with their leadership skills. Cricket fanatics who regularly follow the sport have witnessed how some skippers showcased their leadership mettle in both international and league cricket and emerged as the most successful captains.
Some captains didn’t get a chance to prove themselves in league cricket as T20 leagues were either not present or not played on a large scale during their time. However, these captains tasted success in the international arena which could be considered much bigger than the success of those skippers who won league titles.
Captains with the most trophies in cricket
7. Moises Henriques- 2 titles
All-rounder Moises Henriques is a notable name in Australia’s domestic cricket but in the international arena, he couldn’t become a huge player for the Aussies. In international cricket, Henriques has played only 44 games across all formats and racked up 636 runs and 17 wickets.
In the Big Bash League, he has been leading Sydney Sixers (SS) since 2013 and so far he has delivered a couple of titles to his team with his captaincy. Henriques won the 2019-20 season for Sixers with his sensational captaincy, beating Melbourne Stars in the final at the Sydney Cricket Ground (SCG).
With this title win, Sixers’ eight-year trophy drought ended under Henriques' leadership. In the next season, Sixers played an aggressive brand of cricket under the Portugal-born Aussie cricketer and retained the trophy. Currently, he is the most successful skipper of the BBL in terms of trophy wins, along with Adam Voges who won a couple of BBL competitions for Perth Scorchers (PS).
