Cricket World Cup 2023: Rating best wicketkeepers from each team
Wicketkeeping will be one of the most important areas where all teams won't compromise to be disciplined throughout the tournament to achieve the desired results.
1. Quinton de Kock- 9/10
Quinton de Kock can be considered the best in the wicketkeeping business. In his 10-year ODI career, the South Africa stalwart has carried out 206 dismissals in 139 innings. These numbers have made him the second-best wicketkeeper for the Protea side in the one-day format.
Following the 2023 World Cup, de Kock will quit the ODI format and this World Cup might be his last. The Protea stalwart’s endeavours will be to make this World Cup special for him and his team by lifting the coveted trophy. With the bat, he will have to deliver fierce starts to the team as an opener.
Besides batting, his wicketkeeping will also going to be important. Talking about the 30-year-old’s keeping skills, he has the safest hands and it’s rare to see him dropping blinders and stumpings. de Kock also stays completely alert during matches which makes him effective in DRS matters.
