England and Australia square off in a five-match ODI series, beginning on Thursday, September 19.
1. Travis Head
Travis Head has been in impeccable form in Tests as well as T20Is for Australia in recent months. He played only one game against the West Indies and was dismissed cheaply. In the T20I series, he played two breathtaking knocks against England and would want to continue tormenting the Brits in the ODI leg as well.
Head has amassed 2,397 runs from 65 ODIs at an average of 41.33 and a strike rate of 102.57. He has 16 half-centuries and five centuries to his name, including the match-winning 137 in the ODI World Cup final last year.
The 30-year-old has a fantastic record in England, as he has registered four half-centuries from just six ODI innings, striking at 116.22. Australia will hope that Head fires on all cylinders at the top as it would help them get off to flying starts in the series.
