2. Ishan Kishan

India encountered Bangladesh in the final game of the three-match ODI series in December 2022 in Chattogram. The Bangla Tigers, having won the first two matches of the series, were eyeing a series sweep, however, Ishan Kishan was up for the challenge.

The wicketkeeper-batter put on an exhibition of his swashbuckling stroke play and dismantled Bangladesh’s bowling attack by smashing 210 runs off 131 deliveries to help India post a daunting total of 409. He touched the 200 mark off 126 balls, recording the fastest-ever double ton in 50-over cricket for India. The Men in Blue won the match by 227 runs.

Despite his record-breaking knock, Kishan did not find a place in the starting XI for the first game of the ongoing ODI series against Sri Lanka as Shubman Gill was picked ahead of him. The latter, however, made the opportunity count, scoring 70 off 60.
